DDA Awards Season
LOS ANGELES – ​Dattner Dispoto and Associates (DDA) has several clients nominated for awards this season.
Production Designer Hannah Beachler received an Art Directors Guild (ADG) award nomination for director Ryan Coogler’s ​Black Panther​. The 23rd Annual ADG Awards will take place on February 2, 2019.
The American Society of Cinematographers (ASC) nominated two DDA clients ​for Outstanding Cinematography on an Episode of a Series for Commercial Television: Jon Joffin, ASC
for ​Beyond​ episode “Two Zero One” and David Stockton, ASC for ​Gotham​ episode “A Dark Knight: Queen Takes Knight.” The 33rd ASC Awards will take place on February 9, 2019.
Director of Photography Tom Sigel, ASC received a British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Award nomination for Best Cinematography on ​Bohemian Rhapsody, ​with the ceremony taking place on February 10, 2019.
Costume Designer ​Antoinette Messam received a Best Costume Design in Contemporary Film nomination for her work on Netflix’s ​Hold the Dark​ from the Canadian Alliance of Film and Television Costume Arts and Design (CAFTCAD) for their inaugural awards ceremony. The awards gala will take place on February 10, 2019.
The Costume Designers Guild (CDG) nominated two clients for awards: Paco Delgado for an Excellence in Sci-Fi/Fantasy Film Award for his work on director Ava DuVernay’s ​A Wrinkle in Time​; and Allison Leach for an Excellence in Contemporary Television Award for her work on ​The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story​. The awards ceremony will take place on February 19, 2019.
