DP James Hawkinson Wins Emmy

DDA Cinematographer Receives Outstanding Cinematography Award for Amazon Series The Man in the High Castle

LOS ANGELES – Dattner Dispoto and Associates (DDA) cinematographer James Hawkinson has won the 2016 Creative Arts Emmy Award for Outstanding Cinematography for a Single-Camera Series.

Hawkinson received his Emmy for the first season of Amazon Studios’ The Man in the High Castle.

“To receive this recognition for the show is a great honor,” Hawkinson says. “I’m delighted to get a nod from the Television Academy, particularly after all the hard work that went into High Castle.”

“It’s a fantastic achievement for the whole crew,” he says.

“This is a well-deserved win for Jim,” says Hawkinson’s agent Dan Burnside, VP of DDA. “He is a master of his craft in the truest sense of the word.”

Hawkinson is currently shooting the second series of the show, scheduled for release on Amazon Prime Dec. 16.

DDA congratulates James on his achievement.
